Disadvantages Of Multifunction Peripherals

WHAT ARE THE DISADVANTAGES OF MULTIFUNCTION PERIPHERALS

• May reduce the quality of the machines output of each individual function.
• The running costs are so astronomical.
• When the machines fail, it will leave other functions rather than just one.
• Many integrated functions may occur that units tend to be overused.
• When you want upgrade some part, you are likely to have to upgrade the whole device, which dramatically increases the total cost of ownership for your multifunction unit.
• Required highly localized changes to discrete functions depending on market needs.
• If the device massively multifunction corrupted, you lose not only one function but also other functions.
• These devices often don’t do as good a job as discrete components do.
• Though reducing the price part or equipment of multifunction peripheral, for example the refilling the printer ink process can be messy and there’s no guarantee that the cartridge will work perfectly.
• If any one thing fails inside these machines, it will likely shut the entire unit down, and since these devices are built to handle multiple duties, for example the printing or copying output may not be as crisp as high-performance inkjet or laser copiers.
• Are there other trends that make the new generation of multifunction device more vulnerable to security problems?
